I have a .docx that is comprised solely of a drawing made from 'shapes' lines and text boxes. It also has a header and footer. In the past I have printed this same document both as a hard copy and as a PDF with no issue. After updating the document today and attempt to print a hard copy, print to PDF or save as PDF the text boxes and 'drawing' disappear. Only the header and footer survive above and below a blank page.

I have no trouble with other docx with images and text printing or saving as PDF. But if I create a new docx with a single text box, a line, a shape and some regular text typed outside the text box---only the text typed outside the text box will print in any way or show in a preview. When I go to File>Print, the preview only shows the header and footer and/or the text outside a text box. I can save and reopen the doc and it appears to be fine.
How to rotate text in word for mac. Obviously there is something about the text boxes and shapes that are keeping them from printing. I'm guessing that a setting was inadvertently changed but I can't find it. Any ideas?

UPDATE: I fixed the problem under Word Preferences> Print> Include with document>check the box for 'Drawing objects'. Bob was right, I read it wrong and just checked the 'Print background colors and images' box. Both probably need to be checked.
